Micro and Ultra-Fine Bubbles are extremely small gas bubbles that have several unique physical properties that make them very different from normal bubbles. These properties make UFB-Ultra Fine Bubbles a superior aeration method for a number of applications around the world.

What is it:

The Ultra-AIR is a system developed with the latest award winning patented aeration technology in the world to increase the dissolved oxygen (DO) in water at rates and speeds never been seen before. Our advanced technologies, that includes the MB/UFB generators, aerates water at a rate of 1 910 828 ultrafine bubbles per 1ml of water, a first in the water treatment industry.

What makes the technology so amazing is that we can add any gas into the bubble, with the airflow increase and decrease the size of the bubble and thus be able to manage the process of dissolving a gas into a liquid.

VERY IMPORTANT TO REMEMBER

ALL references made to “fine bubbles” in any technical documentation published prior to mid 2017, need to be carefully reviewed to avoid any confusion with the performance of claims made by manufacturers of aeration products. ClaasEco found that most equipment INCORRECTLY refer to producing “fine bubbles” when it in fact only produce course and/or macro-bubbles that rise very quickly to the surface and do very little to leave any gas behind in the liquids like water.

how does it work:

Aeration is used in water and wastewater treatment processes to deliver oxygen to microorganisms responsible for the biological oxidation of carbonaceous material and ammonia. Aerobic processes are used to degrade biological oxygen demand (BOD), chemical oxygen demand (COD), total Kjeldahl nitrogen (TKN), and ammonia from water. One of the fundamental control parameters in aerobic processes is dissolved oxygen (DO).

Many treatment processes lack sufficient dissolved oxygen due to excess loading, under-performing aeration systems or antiquated designs. Low disolved oxygen levels encourage the growth of filamentous bacteria that can cause process upsets related to sludge bulking and foaming. Furthermore, low dissolved oxygen levels can result in poor treatment efficiency and lead to potential discharge violations. Adding additional aeration capacity can be complex and costly; however, the addition of ClaasEco Ultra-AIR MB/UFB (Ultra-Fine Bubbles) generators can be used to replace and/or supplement under-performing aeration systems by applying biologically available dissolved oxygen exactly where it is needed to support the biological process in quick, cost-effective and modular fashion.

The Ultra-AIR includes an award winning patented nozzle type Dual-chamber/Dual-vortex/High-speed Rotation System (DDHRS). This technology has a unique character as it can produce larger amounts of Micro and Ultrafine bubbles in the water, with higher viscosity and exhibiting a higher capacity for dissolving gas to the water. Therefore, the Ultra-Yield can dissolve oxygen gas to the water up to 90% more efficiently than current known aeration equipment. Being able to manage the size of the bubble and flow of air, we can increase the DO levels up to 30 times faster than old technology aerators.
